In a very public hissy fit, she stated that she had a therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, PTSD specialist, and a social worker (among others), so it may have been a group home setting as opposed to true homelessness. Of course, the thread also devolved into foul language and name calling among these admissions and was, ultimately, removed because of that kind of behavior. Those disproportionate reactions to things are the exact reason why I charge a fee of some kind for my services. If the energy has been exchanged (i.e money) beforehand, then I am in no way obligated to listen to any abusive and non-constructive feedback, physically or energetically.River Mourningstarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07487930376498733365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-909361862629402803.post-3675470355914042112013-09-25T22:40:48.572-05:002013-09-25T22:40:48.572-05:00Re: the homeless individual, it actually makes sen...Re: the homeless individual, it actually makes sense for her to have been online. Public libraries are often a resource and a refuge for homeless people where they can enjoy shelter, access to the Internet, etc.<br /><br />Re: charging for services, I agree that it makes sense for there to be an exchange, both for potential energetic reasons, but also because I think the idea that my time, effort, and materials should always be free is ridiculous. Ritual, magic, and divination all require skill, effort, and materials. While I will sometimes offer these things as a gift to others, expecting anyone to work for free at all times is demeaning to the person doing the work. C.A. I will freely accept any payment in kind for my services (my books and class handouts do have set prices due to print cost) and I rarely 'argue' the barter, as the Gods do not barter well so I accept trades readily.<br />I have been heckled by others, Pagan and non Pagan alike, about my 'charging' for my services. And I still hold to my understanding that sacredness DOES have a 'price tag', and that is what you are willing to sacrifice to attain that sacred thing. Period. Be it bartered trade, cash, time of service....The price is set by those who have what it is you desire, and what YOU are willing to pay in kind. The Gods hold that rule unto us daily, if in doubt...try bartering the cost down yet not lesson your demand of your desired outcome. Good luck with that.<br />Do not 'cheapen' the abilities, materials or willingness of those who offer what gifts they hold that you desire by trying to 'guilt them into free-bees for your Spiritual life'.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03783841142856148628noreply@blogger.com
